High Expectations
Our classroom fosters an "I can" approach to learning. Students are provided
instruction in academic, communication, adaptive and pre-vocational skills. Occupational, physical and speech therapies are provided to qualifying students. Instruction is delivered in small and large groups beginning at the students' instructional levels and moving them forward to achieve their individual goals and greatest potential.
About our class
Our class has eleven students grades kindergarten through fourth. All students are included in the general curriculum for related art classes. We are fortunate to have Mrs. Gouge and Mrs. Ferguson as full-time assistants.
About Mrs. Hampton
I have been teaching students with special needs for thirty-two years. Realizing this is where I am meant to be and where my passion lies, I obtained a Master's Degree as an Advanced Practitioner in the field of special education. I have been married for thirty-five years, have two children and one grandchild.
